A sandstorm has been causing problems across Egypt today. Officials say Cairo International Airport turned away arrivals for a short while as the storm developed, while several ports were also closed due to strong winds. Dust obscures Cairo's skyline. An incoming sandstorm is hitting the city, causing poor visibility and gusty winds. Egyptian officials say Cairo International Airport closed to arrivals for 70 minutes, after the sandstorm reduced visibility to 150 metres. The Egyptian aviation authority says today's departures from Cairo's airport haven't been affected. The Khufu ship is one of the oldest, largest, and best-preserved vessels from Ancient Egypt that was sealed into a pit at the foot of the Great Pyramid of Giza around 2500 BC. The ship was built mainly with Lebanon cedar, and was discovered by Kamal el-Mallakh in 1954. It has been reconstructed from 1,224 pieces.
